Found in eastern and central Madagascar in evergreen forests at elevations around 1350 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying 10 to 20, spreading, ensiform, conduplicate, fleshy-succulent, triangular in cross-section, glaucous, greyish green leaves that blooms in the spring in the northern hemisphere on 1 to 2, .2 to .4" [5 to 10 mm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence with an undeveloped terminal bud.
