Found in central Madagascar in humid evergreen forests at elevations around 1500 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized cool growing epiphyte with a rgid stem enveloped by straited sheaths carrying ensiform, lateral faces more deverloped, forming a transverse rectangle leaves that blooms in the spring through early summer on a 4 to 5.5 cm] long, shorter to just longer than the leaves 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with an elliptic, pointed floral bract and carrying white, sometimes inverted flowers
