Found in east northeastern Madagascar in hill forests at elevations around 1200 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with an erect to pendent, simple to basally branched stem carrying many, closely spaced, amplexicaul, narrowly triangular, apically rounded leaves that blooms in the fall in cultivation on 2 to 3, axillary, from the upper leaves, 1" [2.5 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence carrying diaphonous, yellowish flowers,
