Found in New Guinea at elevations around 800 meters as a small to medium sized, warm growing, mycoheterotrophic terrestrial with thick, elongate, flexuous, puberulous, strict to substrict, terete, glabrous stems without leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, laxly 6 to 12 flowered inflorescence with oblong, to elliptic, obtuse, glabrous floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the whole plant and the flowers are pale, almost whitish with violet streaks
