Common Name The Elliptic Apostasia

Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm] long,

Found in Malaysia, Borneo and Sumatra in lowland rainforests at elevations of sea level to 700 meters as a small to medium sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with rather remote, oblong to ovate-ovblong, more or less acuminate, to 36 nerved, 5 prominent, distinctly sheathed leaves that blooms in the later spring on a terminal, pendulous, branched, 10 to 20 flowered inflorescnece without sterile bracts at the base and with triangular, not apically filiform, acuminate, 3 to 5 nerved floral bracts and carrying white flowers.

The flowers in the photo above are not completely open.

CAUTION Some references put this species as a synonym of A latifolia and it may well be, I await better references.
