Common Name The Double-Bulging Appendicula

Found in Papua and New Guinea on tree trunks in montane forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a large sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with an elongate stem enveloped completely by imbricating, leaf bearing sheaths carrying oblong, obtuse leaves and blooms in the winter on a terminal, descending, 6 to 8" [15 to 20 cm] long, many [to 200] flowered inflorescence with only 4 or so flowers open at any one time
