Found in New Guinea at elevations around 1300 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with a very short rhizome giving rise to simple, more or less flexuous, terete, densely leafy stems carrying erect-patent, lanceolate-elliptic, acute, unequally and longly bidentate apically, minutely serrate-denticulate margin leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal to lateral, elongate, to 1" [2.5 cm] long, subdense, 10 to 15 flowered inflorescence with refelexed, lanceolate, apiculate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
Schlechter states that the flowers are more golden yellow than not and the lip has 2 brownish spots.
