Found in Malaysia, Sumatra and Java on trunks and branches or on rocky roadside embankments at elevations of 150 to 1600 meters as a large sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte or terrestrial with pendulous, freely branching stems carrying many, oblong, obtuse, very shortly and unequally bilobed apically leaves that are smaller on side branches that blooms on a terminal and lateral, .8" [2 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, shorter than the flower floral bract.
