Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]

Found in Reunion at elevations around 2000 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with 2 small, adpressed to the ground leaves that blooms in the late summer and earlier fall on a terminal, erect, green, 4" [10 cm] long, few to several flowered inflorescence enveloped by sheaths.

This species is either one of 2 species, A imbellis or A simplex, but I cannot be sure of which it may be because I do not have any references for this seldom seen genus. Anyone out there that can separate which one it may be please send a quick note to jfal@sprynet.com.
