Found in New South Wales and Queensland Australia at elevations of sealevel to 550 meters in grass and among low shrubs in open forests and tall dense coastal scrub as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a basal rosette of blue-green, narrowly elliptic, obtuse, cordate basally leaves that blooms without leaves in the late spring and early summer on an erect, 6" [15 cm] long, 3 to 22 flowered inflorescence with flowers that have a movable lip.
