Found in Guyana, Surinam and Brazil as a small to medium sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 6, ovate-elliptic, acute to acuminate, glabrous, pseudopetiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, slightly pubescent, 6" [15 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with erect-patent, lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts.
