Common Name or Meaning The Half Green Aspidogyne

Found in Oaxaca and Chiapas states of Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua in dry open areas mostly on rocks at elevations of 100 to 1000 meters as a large sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial and often lithophyte with basal, spathulate, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, terminal, pyramidal, densely several to many flowered inflorescence with acuminate floral bracts and carrying successively opening flowers
