Common Name Dusen's Barbosella [Swedish Engineer and Plant Collector in Brazil Early 1900's]

Found in Sao Paulo and Parana states of Brazil around 900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing, mat forming, long-repent epiphyte with slender, ascending ramicauls enveloped by a thin, tubular sheath and carrying a single, apical, suberect, thinly coriaceous, ellitpical, subacute to obtuse, apiculate, cuneate below into the subpetiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a slender, provided with a basal bract, erect, .88 to 1.6" [2.2 to 4 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a floral bract the envelopes the pedicel and part of the ovary.
"A minute creeping specie that is related to B cogniauxiana but twice smaller. the tiny leaves are broadly elliptical, the flowers however are only slightly smaller than those of B cogniauxiana and differ ony in monor details of the lip. Both have shallo articulations with a bulbous tip of the column foot but the pair of calli on the center of the disc are more prominent in B dusenii." Luer 2000
