Found in Michoacan state of Mexico along streams in tropical deciduous forests at elevations of 700 to 1100 meters as a small to medium szied, warm to cool growing epiphyte with stalked, fusiform pseudobulbs enveloped by scarious sheaths and carrying erect, coriaceous, linear-lanceolate, acuminate, deciduous leaves that blooms in the winter and early spring on a terminal, 4" [10 cm] long, paniculate, 5 to 30 flowered inflorescence
