Common Name The Callus-Less Beloglottis

Flower Size .08" [2 mm]

Found in El Salvador and Costa Rica in wet montane foretss at elevations around 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with thick roots giving rise to 3 to 4, basal, present at blooming, green, elliptic-lanceolate, elongate, channeled petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, peduncle to 12" [30 cm] long, provided with 2 white hairy sheaths, white hairy, rachis to 2" [5 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, scarious floral bracts and carrying green, white hairy flowers.

Similar to Beloglottis costaricensis but B ecallosa differs in the lack of the basal calli of the lip.
