Found in northeastern Ecuador on tree trunks in extremely wet forests at elevations around 700 to 1200 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte without pseudobulbs and has a fan-shape of conduplicate leaves and blooms in the suumer and fall on a pendant to lateral, .8" [2 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with triangular floral bracts and carrying a non-resupinate flower
