Found in Bahia Brazil in montane rainforests at elevations of 500 to 1000 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with conic-tetragon to circular-tetragon, slightly compressed pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, plicate, oblong-lanceolate, acuminate leaf and blooms in the spring on a basal, rigid, racemose, 2 1/5" [6cm] long, 4 to 6 flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers
