Common Name or Meaning The Venezuelan Bifrenaria
Flower Size 1.2" [3 cm]
Found in Venezuela and northern Brazil in rain and cloud forests at elevations of 100 to 1400 meters as a small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with a repent, branching, dark maroon rhizome with 1.2 to 3.2" [4 to 8 cm] between each cylindrical ovoid, longitudinally rugose, hard, shiny brown pseudobulbs carrying a single, elliptic, plicate, acute, shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms on an ascending to slightly pendulous, basal, shorter than the pseudobulbs, single flowered inflorescence.
