Common Name Verboone's Bifrenaria [Brazilian Collector of Species Current]

Found in Minas Gerias Brazil in montane rainforests at elevations of 1000 to 1400 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing, rupicolus orchid with conic-tetragonic, yellowish green, apically dark brown ringed pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, plicate, erect, narrowly elliptic, acuminate, gradually narrowing below into the short, conduplicate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a basal, erect, stiff, 9 3/4" 23 cm] long, 2 to 3 flowered, terete inflorescence with sparse amplexicaul bracts and small, broadly lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts.
