Found in central Chile as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped by oblong, obtuse to acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms on an erect, few to rarely many flowered inflorescence with subfoliaceous, oblong, acute, longer than the ovary floral bracts.
