Found in Cuba on river banks, streams or in flooded zones often with the pseudobulbs often standing in the water as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with pseduobulbs carrying 2 to 3, lanceolate, bright green, plicate leaves that blooms in the mid spring through early fall on a terminal, erect, racemose, 8 to 14" [20 to 35 cm] long, successively 1 to 5, to 10 flowered inflorescence.
