Found in Java and northern Borneo in dipterocarp/oak/chestnut hill forests at elevations of sealevel to 500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a very short stem carrying a few, narrowly elliptic, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the fall on a thin, terete, 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long extending to almost 4" [10 cm] long, successively several flowered inflorescence with 3 to 4, widely opening flowers open at any one time,
