Common Name Hirtz's Pescatoria [German Engineer, Orchid Enthusiast and Orchid Collector in Ecuador current]

Flower Size 3 1/4" [8 cm]

Found in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru in wet montane forests at sealevel to 1500 meters as a medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a fan of plicate, obovate, acute to obtuse, becoming conduplicate towards the base leaves that blooms in the summer on a shorter than the leaves, ascending, sheathed stalk carrying a solitary flower.
