Found in Cameroon, Burundi and Rwanda in lowland semi-deciduous forests and montane forests at elevations of 500 to 2200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with a non-branching stem carrying a few, not deeply sulcate on the upper surface, linear, slightly falcate, acute leaves that blooms in the later summer on an arising from beneath the leaves, peduncle .75 to 1" [1.8 to 2.5 cm] long, fractiflex, 1.12 to 1.46" [2.8 to 3.6 cm] long overall, 6 to 9 flowered inflorescence with black, triangular, larger than the flowers floral bracts
