`SECTION Brachyostele Schlechter 1913

TYPE: = Bulbophyllum foetidum Schlechter 1913

A 2 species section characterized by an erect inflorescence with large flowers and well developed petals, The column has stelida and 2 short, erect, fleshy arms below the middle. There is an overpowering stench from the flowers.

This species beongs to an old section that is now invalid and is now found within another section, as to which, I do not know at this time.
