Found in Borneo and Sulawesi in montane forests at elevations of 1600 to 1700 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with a basally terete, apically laterally compressed stem carrying many rather flexible, soft, linear, laterally flattened, slightly curved, plicate leaves that blooms in the winter on an unbranched to 2 branched, to .8" [2 cm] long, successively single to 15 flowered inflorescence arising from the sterile bracts
