Found in Malaysia and Borneo in hill to lower montane forests at elevations of 800 to 1100 meters as a medium to large sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a laterally compressed stem not entirely enveloped by leaf sheaths and carrying several, rather flexible, plicate, hard-coriaceous, linear, laterally flattened, curved leaves that blooms in the spring through fall on an unbranched to 5 branched, to .6" [1.5 cm] long, successively few, to 25 flowered inflorescence arising from the sterile bracts.
