Found in Kalimantan and Sarawak Borneo in open places within primary lowland to hill forests at elevation around 150 to 800 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing, sturdy, erect epiphyte with a laterally compressed stem enveloped entirely by imbricating sheaths the basal part with 2 to 3 leafless sheaths, leaf bearing above, each carrying many rather flexible, hard-coriaceous, the upper 2 around the inflorescence very long, linear, laterally flattened, curved, 26 to 30 nerved per side leaves that blooms in the late summer and earlier fall on a terminal, unbranched, to 2.68" [to 6.7 cm] long, to 33 flowered inflorescence with hard, thick, keeled along the top floral bracts and carrying small flowers arising from the imbricating floral bracts and carrying flowers with yellowish cream sepals, white petals, a white lip with the lateral lobes veined with red purple, the base of the midlobe red purple, a broght yellow callus, a cream colored column finely tinged wit and spotted purple in front beneath the stigma and a white anther..
