Found in the lowland and hill forests of Malaysia and Borneo in lower montane forests at elevations of 500 to 1500 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with slender, terete, curved, branching, densely tufted stems carrying, curved, laterally flattened, stiff, acute leaves that blooms in the spring through fall on a terminal, shortly branched inflorescence that arises from the base of the uppermost leaf and has thin close floral bracts
