Common Name The Retuse Eria - In Australia - The Christmas Island Urchin Orchid

Found in Java, Borneo, Lesser Sunda Island, Sulawesi, New Guinea, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia and Christmas Island in rainforests high on trees at elevations of 200 to 300 [1200] meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with crowded, fleshy, green pseudobulbs carrying 2, erect, thick, bright green leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, fleshy, pubescent, .4 to 1" [1 to 2.5 cm] long, 7 to 12 flowered inflorescence and carrying densely crowded flowers
