Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]
Found in the Philippines on the island of Negros on mossy tree trunks at elevations of 600 to 1300 meters as a creeping, miniature to just small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a long, creeping, sheathed rhizome giving rise to 2 to 3.6" [5 to 9 cm] apart, tapering, cylindrical pseudobulbs enveloped by loose, acute, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong-elliptic, acute, leathery, purple striate, gradually narrowing below into the slender, channeled petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, short, single flowered inflorescence.
CAUTION!!!!!!!!! Most species photos of this flower on the net are of a variety of B lobbii.
