Common Name The Bari Bulbophyllum

Flower Size 1/5" [5 cm]

Found in Vietnam in semi-deciduous and deciduous dry lowland forests and savanna-like woodlands at elevations of sealevel to 700 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with an ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, apical leaf that blooms on a basal, distantly sheathed, 4" scape with a 1 to 2" [2.5 to 5 cm] long rhachis carrying a few flowers.

This species is similar to B orientale but differs by having a short, densly many flowered rachis and a 1 to 2" [2.5 to 5 cm] long spathe that is almost completly enveloped by imbricating basal sheaths.
