Common Name The Fu Ning Bulbophyllum [A Town in Yunnan province of China] - In China Fu Ning Juan Ban Lan
Flower Size 1 3/4" [4.3 cm] long
Found in southeastern Yunnan province of China on rocks in valleys at elevations around 1000 meters as a small sized, warm growing lithophyte with a creeping rhizome with 2.4" [6 cm] betweeen each, ovoid, ribbed pseudobulb carrying a single, narrowly oblong, thickly leathery, obtuse and slightly emarginate apically, narrowing below into the conduplicate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a basal, erect, 3.2 to 4.6" [8 to 11 cm] long, successsively single, two flowered, umbellate inflorescence with 2 tubular sheaths and narrowly ovate floral bracts and carrying flowers that smell of rotten fish.
