Common Name The Large-Flowered Bulbophyllum

A warm to hot growing, unifoliate epiphyte found in Sumatra, the Celebes, the Moluccas, and New Guinea at altitudes up to 500 meters on tree trunks that blooms on a long, basal, single flowered inflorescence that has large triangular lanceolate bracts and holds the flower above the leaves occuring in the fall.
