Common Name The Braided Bulbophyllum [refers to the dense mats the plant can form]

Flower Size 1.4" [3.5 cm] long

Found in Angola, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Malawi, Nigeria, Sao Tome e Principe, Kenya, Tanzania, Zaire, Zambia, Zimbabwe and the Seychelles Islands in evergreen forests on mossy tree branches at elevations of 300 to 1900 meters as a miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with .4" to .8" [1 to 2 cm] between each translucent-yellow, glossy green or red tinged, ovoid to orbicular, clustered pseudobulbs carrying and single, ellipic, obtuse, abruptly narrows below into the cuneate base leaf that blooms on a 2 to 3" + [ 5 to 7.5 cm] long, erect, basal, laxly few to several flowered, thin and wiry inflorescence.
