Found in Sabah Borneo in podzolic forests at elevations around 600 to 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a long creeping rhizome with rather persistent bracts giving rise to distinct, 1.04 to 3.8" [2.6 to 9.5 cm] between each, olive green, ovoid, obtusely angled pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, dark green, elliptic to ovate to obovate, obtuse to subacute, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a suberect to erect, peduncle to .6 to 1.28" [1.5 to 3.2 cm] long, provided with 7 to 8 bracts, rachis porrect, .24 to .4" [.6 to 1 cm] long, congested, 6 to 9 flowered inflorescence with longer than the ovary floral bracts.
