Found in Cameroon without locational data as a mini-miniature sized epiphyte with ovoid, obtusely 4 angled pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, linear-oblong, obtuse, rounded, below into the supetiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring on a filiform, arcuate, provided with 3 sheaths, 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, subumbellate, 2 flowered infloresscence with distichous, oblong-elliptic, acute, ampexicaul floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate, fleshy flowers.

Similar to B vanum but it is smaller throughout with dissimilar floral segments other than the column and anther which are quite similar. B capituliflorum also is similar but it has a glabrous lip.
