Found in Taiwan on montane slopes on tree trunks in montane forests at elevations of 2100 to 2350 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a creeping, slender, greenish-white, woody rhizome giving rise t oclose set, elliptic to elliptic-ovoid, smooth, longitudinally few furrowed with age, pale greenish yellow pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, oblong, coriaceous, obtuse and slightly emarginate at the apex, obtuse basally, glabrous, lustrous green surface above, pale green beneath, midrib impressed abd elevated beaneath, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring on a basal, erect to ascending, pale orange-yellow, 4.4 to 5.2" [11 to 13 cm] long, pale green, glabrous, provided with a single, acute, tubular basal sheath, subumbellate, 5 to 8 flowered inflorescence with linear, acuminate to cuspidate apically, somewhat hooded, pale brown with vewins, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying pale orange, scentless flowers.
