Found in Thailand and Laos at elevations around 400 to 1600 meters as a small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with close set to 2 1/4" to 3 1/.8" [6 to 8 cm] distant, conical pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, erect leaf that blooms in the fall on a pendulous, 7 to 10" [17.5 to 25 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence that is completely covered by 3 to 4 large, inflated bracts and has longer than the ovary and pedicel floral bracts.
