Found in in Thailand and Vietnam at elevations of 900 to 1400 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with 1.2 to 3.2" [3 to 8 cm] between each large, ovoid, bright green pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, thick, fleshy, lanceolate leaf that blooms in the late fall on an arching to pendent, peduncle proivided with 4 to 5 sheath-like bracts, 6 to 10" [15 to 20 cm] long, a thick rachis, lax, racemose, many flowered inflorescence.
