Common Name The Pointed Lip Bulbophyllum
Flower Size 1/4" max [1 cm max]
Found in Sierra Leone, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Central African Republic, Gabon, Zaire and Uganda at elevations of sealevel to 500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with close set to .8" [2 cm] between each, angled pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, elliptiuc, acute leaf that blooms on a basal, 12" [30 cm][ long, several to many flowered inflorescence.
CAUTION!!! This species and Genyorchis pumila = Genyorchis apetala are confused by many authorities saying Bulbophyllum pumilum is a synonym of Genyorchis apetala but the later has two leaves and is red flowered while the former is single leafed and most often red to orange-brown flowered.
