Found in western New Guinea without locational data as a mini-miniature to miniature sized epiphyte with a rhizome enveloped by not persistent sheaths giving rise to obliquely erect, with .32 to ..48" [.8-1.2 cm apart, erect to obliquely erect, ovoid to ovoid-conical, more or less rounded with finely longitudinal grooved pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic to obovate, apex acute, petiolate base leaf that blooms in spring on an erect 1.52 to 2.2" [3.8 to 5.5 cm] long peduncle; provided with about 2 scales, 2.8 to 3.2" [7 to 8 cm] long overall, single flowered inflorescence with longer than the pedicellate ovary floral bracts.
