Common Name The Surigao Bulbophyllum [An Island in The Philippines]

Found on Mindanao Island in the Philippines as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with stout, creeping, woody rhizome carrying cylindric to semi-spindle shaped pseudobulbs enveloped by membraneous brown sheaths in youth and carrying a single, apical, erect, very leathery, firm, rigid, oblong to elliptic-oblong, dark green, bilobed and rounded apically, wedge shaped, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a basal, 4 3/4" to 5 3/4" [12 to 14.5 cm] long, few flowered, racemose inflorescence with funnel-shaped, sharply acute sheaths and deep green, linear-lanceolate, acute, hood-shaped floral bracts .
