Found from Sumatra to western Java at elevations below 1650 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a long-creeping rhizome with well spaced, long-ovate, curved pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, erect, lanceolate, acute to obtuse, shortly apiculate, tough, shortly petiolate below into the base leaf that blooms in the winter on a .6 to 1.6" [1.5 to 4.5 cm] long, 3 to 6 flowered inflorescence arising from anywhere on the rhizome and having 3, imbricate sheaths.
