Found in Burundi, Rwanda, Zaire and Uganda in mossy forests at elevations of 2000 to 2400 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with up to 4.4" [11 cm] between each conical-cylindrical pseudobulb enveloped basally by sheaths and carrying 2 leaves that are present at flowering and blooms on an erect, 16" [40 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with a slightly swollen rhachis and each flower is subtended by distichous bracts.
