Found in New Guinea at elevations around 950 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to thin, terete pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect to suberect, glabrous, coriaceous, shiny, linear-ligulate, obliquely apiculate leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an apical, erect to suberect, compressed, shortly acuminate, short, single flowered inflorescence.
