Found in Java, Sumatra and Bali in primary evergreen montane forests and near montane streams at elevations of 1400 to 2100 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with close set pseudobulbs carrying 2, dark green, lanceolate, acuminate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, peduncle t o12.8" [32 cm] long, rachis to 2" [5 cm] long, overall to 14.8" [to 37 cm] long, to 20 flowered inflorescence with a persistent leafy bracts that is more than twice the length of the flower.
Similar to C triplicata but easily separated by the pubescent upper surface of the lip and the long floral bracts.
