Common Name The Pallid Caladenia - The Rosy Spider Orchid

Flower Size 1.6 to 2" [4 to 5 cm]

Found in Tasmania, and Victoria Australia in heathlands and heathy forestsat elevations of 10 to 150 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial orchid with a slender, finely hairy stem carrying a linear-lanceolate, channeled, finely hairy, somewhat withered at flowering leaf that blooms in the later spring and early summer on an erect, 6 to 16" [15 to 40 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence.

This species is extremely localized and rare and may be close to extinction
