This miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial species is from New South Wales and Victoria, Australia occuring at elevations of 400 to 700 meters in hilly areas, growing in open forest in clay-loam soils with a single, linear, pubescent leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 4 to 10" [10 to 25 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence and is pollinated by Lephocheilus anilitatus.
