Found in western Australia at elevations of 50 to 350 meters in open forests, woodlands and granite outcrops as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial orchid with a single, erect, linear, pubescent leaf that blooms in the late winter and earlier spring on an erect, 8 to 16" [20 to 40 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence
